10 Day Egypt and Jordan Travel Package

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, your tour manager will be standing by to meet and greet you. You will then be assisted in any way possible, and tour manager and one of our drivers will take you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the luxury 5-Star hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo.

When you reach your hotel, your tour manager will get you checked in, and he will briefly go over the following day’s schedule, and confirm a pick up for the morning. After the formalities have been taken care of, feel free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish, and have a free Welcome Drink on us.

Day 2 of your Jordan Egypt Travel Package is going to be a full day of fabulous sightseeing, so we strongly recommend that you enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before the fun begins. Shortly after you have eaten, you will be picked up as agree, and you will be driven to the Giza Plateau to see the iconic Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.

After you have had ample time to explore this site, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for a nice lunch. After lunch, it will be time to visit the absolutely fantastic Egyptian museum which is home nearly a quarter of a million Egyptian artifacts. Your Jordan and Egypt Travel Package also include entrance to the museum’s Treasures Room where you can see just about all the artifacts that were discovered in Tutankhamen’s tomb back in the 1920s. There is also a Mummies Room at the museum where you can see real mummies, but if you want to go in and see them you will need to purchase a separate ticket at the museum.

Next you will be taken to an area in the city known as Coptic Cairo where you will visit the Hanging Church and the famous Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Finally, you will spend the last part of your afternoon at the colorful and extremely vibrant Khan El Khalili bazaar. First established in 1382, the bazaar is without question one of the city’s must-see attractions.

With a fun day of non-stop sightseeing behind you, it will be time for your guide and driver to take you back to your hotel, where you will then have the evening to yourself.

After you have had time to enjoy another fine breakfast at your hotel, your tour manager will arrive, the will get you checked out, and then you will be driven to the airport where you will board a flight to Aswan.

When you arrive at the airport in Aswan, one of our other tour managers will meet you and assist you in any way they can. You will then be taken to the port area where you will board the luxurious 5-Star cruise ship that will be your new home on the water for the duration of your Nile cruise.
Once on board the vessel, you will be assisted with check in, and shortly after that you will be served your first splendid lunch on the ship.

After lunch, you will disembark, and you will enjoy a wonderful sightseeing tour which will see you visiting some of Aswan’s top historical attractions, including the awe-inspiring Aswan High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk which is the largest one ever discovered.

And the absolutely spellbinding Temple of Philae. Philae Temple was once dedicated to two goddesses, Isis and Hathor. In ancient times, the temple and the small island on which it stood, was one of the holiest place in all of Egypt. The temple you see today was moved in its entirety to save it from the rising water of Lake Nasser following the construction of the Aswan High Dam.

Finally, you will head back to the ship where you will have some time for yourself before the crew begins serving dinner in the vessel’s beautifully decorated dining area. Tonight you will sleep on board the ship, on the water at Aswan.

Wake up on the water and enjoy a splendid breakfast while cruising to Kom Ombo. On arrival at Kom Ombo, you will disembark, and you will be taken to see the famous Kom Ombo Temple which was built to honor two gods, Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god. This is a remarkable site, and unlike any other ancient temple in the country.

After returning to the ship, you will soon be served a good lunch on board while the ship sails to Edfu. Here you will once again disembark, this time to visit Horus Temple which is the best-preserved “cult temple” in all of Egypt. It’s high degree of preservation is thanks to the fact that after the Romans abandoned it, it slowly got swallowed by the desert, meaning that it lay buried under the sand for more than 2,000 years.

Following your visit to Horus Temple, you will again board your luxury Nile cruise ship, and it will begin sailing to Esna. Enjoy a very pleasant afternoon tea along the way, and another wonderful onboard dinner in the evening. Tonight you will be sleeping on the water at Esna.

Start the 5th day of your Jordan Egypt Travel Package with an excellent breakfast on the water while you are sailing to Luxor. On arrival, you will disembark, and you will be taken on a truly remarkable tour on Luxor’s West Bank.

This tour will see you visiting a number of Egypt’s most cherished historical sites, including Evaya Getaways, the ancient necropolis where more than 60 tombs were discovered, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen. You will also visit the absolutely amazing mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, as well as a brief visit to the Colossi of Memnon.

After your tour, everyone will return to the ship for lunch, and then you will disembark again, this time for a visit to Luxor’s East Bank to see two spectacular sites, Karnak Temple Complex and Luxor Temple. Later in the afternoon, you will return to your boat where you will have a bit of free time for yourself. In the early evening, you will once again enjoy a fine dinner, and then the remainder of the evening will be yours. You will be spending this last night of your Nile cruise on board the ship in Luxor.

Wake up in your luxurious cabin on the water in Luxor, and then enjoy one last breakfast on the ship. At the appropriate time, you will be met by one of our tour managers in Luxor. They will assist you with check-out, and then you will be taken to Luxor Airport where you will board a flight back to Cairo.

As is always the case with our Egypt and Jordan tour packages, your tour manager in Cairo will be at the airport to meet you, and you will then be taken to the 5-Star hotel where you will be spending the night.

Today signals the the second stage of your Jordan Egypt Travel Package. After you have enjoy a first-class breakfast at your hotel, your tour manager will arrive at the agreed time, and you will be transferred to Cairo International Airport where you will be boarding your flight to Amman in Jordan.

When you arrive in Jordan, one of our tour representatives will be at the airport to meet and greet you, and to assist you in any way they can. They will then escort you in a private air-conditioned vehicle to the 5-Star hotel where you will be staying during your time in Amman.

On arrival at the hotel, you will be checked in, and our tour representative will confirm a pick up time for the following morning. You will then have the rest of the day and/or evening to yourself to enjoy as you wish.

Enjoy a splendid breakfast at your hotel in Amman, and then at the time agreed, you will be picked up, and you will be taken to visit Jerash, an ancient, and particularly well-preserved Roman city. In fact, Jerash is by far and away the best example of an ancient Roman provincial city in the world. It is also home to some of the best Roman Architecture outside of Italy. This is a remarkable site, and one which you are not likely to forget in your lifetime.

After you have had ample time to explore Jerash, you will the head to the Dead Sea which sits some 400 meters below sea level. Dead Sea mud contains an abundance of minerals, and today you will find it mentioned on the labels of some of the world’s most sought-after skin care products and other beauty treatments. Of course, the Dead Sea is also famous for its very salty water which makes it possible for people to literally float on the water.

Spend your afternoon enjoying the mineral-rich mud and the incredibly buoyant water, and then later in the day, you will be driven back to your 5-Star hotel in Amman where you will be staying for the night.

Day 9 of your Jordan Egypt Travel Package is definitely going to be a day you will never forget. However, this day is also going to include a considerable amount of walking, so it is strongly recommend that you enjoy a nice full breakfast at your hotel in the morning. We also recommend that you wear comfortable shoes or sandals.

Shortly after breakfast you will be pick up, and you will then be driven to the ancient Rose Red City of Petra, a journey which takes about 2.5 hours. On arrival, the vehicle in which you are traveling will have to remain at the site’s Visitor Center, and from there it is about a 700 meter walk to the entrance of the Siq which is essentially a 1km-long rock gorge with towering cliffs that reach more than 80 meters above your head.

It is into these cliffs that the ancient Nabatean Arabs carved their spectacular city during the 6th century BC. No amount of words or pictures can quite describe this truly astonishing site which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and also one of the New World Wonders.

There is so much to see here at Petra that it would be impossible to see everything in a single day, but your tour of this site will see you visiting all the best parts of the city such as the Royal Tombs, the Pharaoh’s Castle, the Street of Facades, and the best attraction of them all, the in indescribable Treasury.

After so much walking and so much sightseeing, you will no doubt want to sit back and relax, which is exactly what you can do while you are being driven back to your hotel in Amman where you will be staying for the last night of your 10-day Jordan Egypt tour.

Wake up to another wonderful 5-Star breakfast, and then at the appropriate time, you will be assisted with check-out, and then taken to the airport in time for your flight out of Jordan.

On arrival at the airport, our tour representative will assist in any way he can, and then, unfortunately, it will be time for the two of you to say goodbye.
