At approximately 6:00 a.m., your tour guide from Evaya Getaways will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for a visit to El Fayoum Oasis. Upon arrival, first visit Karanis, an ancient town where two temples were built to worship the god Sobek—Petesouchos and Pnepheros. Both temples contain the incredible House of the Crocodile. Next, journey to Lake Qaroun, where you will see an amazing array of migratory birds. Lake Qaroun is the third largest lake in Egypt and is believed to be one of the oldest natural lakes in the world. Continue to Qasr Qaroun, the remains of the Graeco-Roman city of Dinysios. The temple, dedicated to the god Sobek, features a square exterior but contains rooms and staircases leading to the roof, making it a must-see as few Egyptian temples have roofs and even fewer allow access. Finally, head to Wadi El Rayyan, a protected area where you can enjoy the stunning waterfalls connected by two lakes. After your adventure, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.

Nous cherchions une activité pour changer du rythme de l'hôtel. Celle-ci nous convenait bien. Le rythme nous a laissé le temps de regarder autour de nous sans penser uniquement aux photos. Une pause un peu plus longue aurait été appréciable, mais le bilan reste très positif.

Llevábamos unas vacaciones bastante llenas y aun así me alegro de haber reservado tiempo para esta salida. Hubo momentos con más gente de la esperada, aunque también encontramos ratos tranquilos. Si volviera, dedicaría menos tiempo al móvil y más a disfrutar de lo que tenía delante.
