Our qualified Egyptologist Guide from Evaya Getaways will pick you up from your hotel or chosen starting point in Aswan at 7:00 am and accompany you on your drive to Luxor by A/C vehicle, which takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival in Luxor, visit the East Bank to explore the magnificent Karnak Temples, the largest place of worship ever built. Its ancient name, Ipet-isut, means “the most sacred of places.” This complex of temples was constructed over two thousand years by various generations of pharaohs. Within the complex, the incredible “Hypostyle Hall” features a forest of giant pillars.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the West Bank of the Nile. Here, you'll see the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues of Amenhotep III that were reputed to sing shortly after sunrise following an earthquake. Mein Partner hatte den Ausflug ausgesucht, deshalb bin ich ohne genaue Vorstellung mitgekommen. Teilweise war mehr los als erwartet, dazwischen gab es aber auch angenehm ruhige Momente. Danach waren wir froh, für den Abend nichts Anstrengendes mehr geplant zu haben.
